About the Author

I’ve been writing my whole life – both personally and professionally – and always out of joy. And, looking back at my childhood gothic phase that I never really grew out of, I guess I’ve always been a bit of a misfit with a fascination for darker topics.

Living in my own personal cabin in the woods – minus all the gore – in the mountains of Austria (you know, the one with Mozart and Apfelstrudel, not the one with kangaroos!), I finally have all the time to procrastinate… no, sorry… to write down everything that’s churning around in my mind.
Sometimes I even manage to publish something – Yay!

On the topic of AI:

I do everything myself – from research, writing and translation to formatting, illustration, cover design, and marketing. Yes, you will maybe find one or two… or more… mistakes, and maybe not everything is perfect – but it’s real. It’s mine. And I will always prefer something raw and imperfect over something overly polished and unethical that comes from generative AI.

If I ever use something I did not create myself, I will pay a legit artist for their work and, of course, fully disclose it on my copyright page.

(Yes, I use the dash a lot – I always have, and I will not stop because of AI.)
